The Audi A4 is a compact executive car produced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG since late 1994. The initial generation A4 succeeded the four previous generations of the Audi 80. The Audi S4 is the high performance variant of Audi's compact executive car. The original Audi S4, built from 1991 until 1994, was a performance-oriented version of Audi's 100 saloon/sedan.
